GeoPhoto2KMZ Service

If the old adage "a picture is worth a thousand words" does in fact hold some truth, then a geo-tagged photo may be worth more! A geo-tagged photo is a regular photo with geographic coordinates embedded within the photo metadata (i.e. EXIF header). The coordinates are written to the photo by the device acquiring it. Most mobile devices today (i.e. iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Andoid, etc.) have one or more ways of acquiring their location (cellular towers, wifi, and/or GPS) and the process of embedding those coordinates into pictures taken by the device is seamlessly integrated.

In todays world we don't have the time to mess around with complex software used to record where we've been and what we saw. So why not use a service that is so simple that anyone can use it? This is where the GeoPhoto2KMZ service comes in.

GeoPhoto2KMZ is a free** automated service that transforms geo-tagged photo email attachments into a stand-alone packaged Google Earth KMZ file. The resultant KMZ file is returned to the sender as an attachment.

How do you use this service? It's fast and easy! Use your favorite mobile device (iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry, etc.) to capture photos (you have to make sure that the "embed locations into photos" option is turned on). When you're ready to build a KMZ file, simply send an email to geophoto2kmz@anjoda.com with the photos attached. The GeoPhoto2KMZ Server will automatically respond to your request within minutes.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF THE PROVIDED GOOGLE EARTH KMZ FILES OR ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ACTIONS TAKEN AS A RESULT OF THIS SERVICE OR THE KMZ FILES CREATED BY IT.   WE ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO RESPOND TO EVERY SERVICE REQUEST AND WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISCONTINUE THIS SERVICE AT ANY TIME.   WE DO NOT GUARANTEE 100% UPTIME OR PROMISE CONSISTENT RESPONSE TIMES BY THE GEOPHOTO2KMZ SERVER.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO PLACE OR REMOVE LIMITATIONS AT ANY TIME ON THE NUMBER OF EMAILS EACH USER CAN SEND PER DAY AND THE NUMBER OF GEO-TAGGED PHOTOS THAT EACH EMAIL CAN CONTAIN.   THE GEOPHOTO2KMZ SERVER WILL AUTOMATICALLY DELETE EMAILS FROM USERS THAT EXCEED THEIR DAILY EMAIL QUOTA AND NOT INCLUDE GEO-TAGGED PHOTOS THAT EXCEED THE GEO-TAGGED PHOTOS PER EMAIL LIMITATION.

EMAIL ADDRESSES, INDIVIDUAL NAMES, AND GEO-TAGGED PHOTOS ARE STORED TEMPORARILY ON OUR SERVERS, BUT ARE NOT PUBLISHED OR DISTRIBUTED IN ANY FORM.   WE WILL RESPECT YOUR PRIVACY.

ABUSE OF THIS SERVICE WILL RESULT IN OFFENDING EMAIL ADDRESSES BEING BLACK-LISTED.

YOU WILL ACCEPT THIS SERVICE "AS IS" AND NOT HOLD ANJODA TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS LIABLE FOR ANY LOSSES INCURRED FROM THE USE OF THIS SERVICE AND THE PRODUCTS IT DELIVERS.
